ID_Land is excited to announce that Amber has just celebrated its 100th purchaser!
Originally from Wellington, New Zealand, Ershad Azam Ali moved to Melbourne looking for a change of pace. As it turns out, the 32-year old accountant would soon find his future home and settle down for good.
A first-home buyer, Ershad decided to purchase in Australia instead of New Zealand because of the comparatively more affordable cost-of-living and wider selection of homes and financing options.
Once he decided to enter the Australian market, Ershad looked at potential homes across Melbourne before deciding to purchase a quality block at Amber.
“Purchasing a block of land and creating a new home from scratch was more appealing to me than buying an existing home, because it gave me the opportunity to build a custom-designed home perfectly suited to me and my lifestyle. Amber also happened to hit that sweet spot in terms of location and affordability.”
Located 24km north of the Melbourne CBD, Amber is a short 35 minute train ride to the city.
Ershad expects to move into his 350sqm block and double storey home late next year and has already contracted Porter Davis to design and build the home. With plans for a four-bedroom, two- bathroom home, Ershad hopes to build his future here for the next decade.
An avid rugby player and hiker, Ershad is also looking forward to utilising over 21ha of Amber’s sport facilities, parklands and conservation area once complete.
“Growing up in New Zealand, I love hiking, walking and being surrounded by greenery. So striking that balance between urban and country living was important to me.”
